Relieving Constipation

Constipation is one of the most common gastrointestinal complaints in the United States. It is said to be a common disturbance of the digestive tract. This symptom  occurs due to the irregular bowel movements, or passing hard and dry stool. This can lead to many diseases as it produces toxins which find their way into the bloodstream and are carried to all parts of the body.

Natural Cures
  • Mix 2 tsp husk seed in ½ cup of hot milk, and drink it every night.
  • Drink a cup of hot milk with a teaspoon of ghee, to avoid constipation during pregnancy
  • Squeeze half a lime in a glass of hot water, add half a teaspoon of salt in it and drink. This is one of the best home remedies for constipation.
  • Give 3 figs soaked in warm water to a child suffering with constipation.
  • Ginger tea is also an effective home remedy for constipation
  • Take a glass of warm water with ½ a lime juice and 1 tsp honey. Drink it daily in the morning for constipation relief
  • Mix ½ cup of distilled water and ½ cup of blackberries, to cure constipation.
  • Eat papaya before breakfast everyday.
  • Mix Plum with honey and take it regularly for constipation relief.
  • Take black salt mixed with ghee to avoid constipation.


Treatment
  • Do aerobic exercise such as walking, running and swimming.
  • Take high fiber diet.
  • Eat oatmeal, rice, wheat germ, corn bran, prunes, raisins, apricots, figs and apple.
  • Drink eight to ten glasses of water daily
  • Avoid sugar, cheese, and refined white flour.
