The symptoms of Herpes may differ from person to person. In some cases it might not show any symptoms but still continue to transmit. Research shows that 80% of people do show early symptoms. Herpes is a virus which gets into the outer layer of skin and then starts to multiply. The first symptom therefore shows up on the skin.
- The infected skin becomes red and sensitive.
- Blisters start to occur-This is a classic symptom of genital herpes.There are clusters of small fluid-filled blisters that break, forming painful sores that crust and heal. This process can take several days.
- There is burning sensation while urinating
- The person suffers from common symptoms of Fever like headache, body pain and a regular temperature ranging from 101 to 103 degree Fahrenheit.
- Lymph gland around the infected area is swollen
- The skin becomes itchy. There is pain around the genital areas, inner thighs and buttocks.
- In women, sores can erupt in the vaginal area, external genitals, buttocks, anus or cervix
The symptoms of Herpes occur in a set pattern and they take their own time to heal differing from person to person. It is more painful for the first time. Herpes might reoccur within a few weeks or in some cases it takes almost a year to come back.
